DASK (Deprem Sigortası) is an earthquake insurance policy that is mandatory for all property owners in Turkey. The purpose of DASK is to provide financial protection to property owners in the event of damage caused by earthquakes. In addition to providing coverage for the cost of repairing or rebuilding a property damaged by an earthquake, DASK also covers the cost of alternative living arrangements if the property is rendered uninhabitable.

It’s important to note that without a valid DASK policy, electricity cannot be connected to the property. This means that property owners who fail to obtain DASK coverage risk being unable to use their property until they obtain the necessary insurance. DASK premiums are calculated based on the size and location of the property, and the level of coverage required.
