123 thousand 491 houses were sold in Turkey in August
Housing sales across Turkey decreased by 12.7% in August compared to the same month of the previous year and became 123 thousand 491. Istanbul had the highest share in house sales with 18,485 house sales and 15.0%. According to the number of sales, Istanbul is 9thousand 736
Ankara was followed by housing sales with a share of 7.9%, and ÿzmir with a share of 6 thousand 395 houses and 5.2%. The provinces with the lowest number of
house sales were Hakkari with 41 houses, Ardahan with 63 houses and Bayburt with 101 houses, respectively.
Housing sales increased by 17.7% in the January-August period
Housing sales increased by 17.7% in the January-August period compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 943 thousand 791.
Mortgage housing sales amounted to 22 thousand 168
Mortgaged house sales across Turkey decreased by 19.0% in August compared to the same month of the previous year and became 22,168.
The share of mortgaged sales in total house sales was 18.0%. Mortgaged house sales in the January-August period, on the other hand, increased by 39.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 211 thousand 631.
6,654 of the mortgage sales in August; 55 thousand 348 of the mortgaged sales in the January-August period were first hand sales.
101 thousand 323 houses changed hands as a result of other sales types
Other house sales in Turkey decreased by 11.1% in August compared to the same month of the previous year and became 101 thousand 323. Total The share of other sales in housing sales was 82.0%. Other house sales realized in the January-August period, on the other hand, increased by 12.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 732 thousand 160.
The number of first-hand housing sales was 39 thousand 25.
The number of first-hand house sales in Turkey decreased by 8.5% in August compared to the same month of the previous year and became 39 thousand 25. The share of first hand house sales in total house sales was 31.6%. In the January-August period, first-hand house sales increased by 13.6% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 276 thousand 164.
84 thousand 466 houses changed hands in second-hand house sales
Second-hand house sales across Turkey decreased by 14.5% in August compared to the same month of the previous year, to 84 thousand 466
it happened. The share of second hand house sales in total house sales was 68.4%. Second hand house sales increased by 19.5% in the January-August period compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 667 thousand 627.
5 thousand 273 houses were sold to foreigners in August Housing sales to
foreigners decreased by 10.1% in August compared to the same month of the previous year and became 5 thousand 273. In August, the share of house sales to foreigners in total house sales was 4.3%. Antalya took the first place in housing sales to foreigners with the sales of 1,814 houses. Antalya is followed by Istanbul with 1,750 house sales and Mersin with 317 house sales, respectively.
In the January-August period, house sales to foreigners increased by 44.6% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 44 thousand 595.
According to the nationality of the country, the most house sales were made to the citizens of the Russian Federation.
In August, citizens of the Russian Federation bought 1,238 houses from Turkey. Citizens of the Russian Federation were followed by Iran with 633 residences and Iraqi citizens with 417 residences, respectively.
