102 thousand 660 houses were sold in Turkey in October
Housing sales across Turkey decreased by 25.3% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 102 thousand 660. Istanbul had the
highest share in house sales with 16,987 house sales and 16.5%. According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 8thousand 146 house
sales and 7.9% share, and Antalya with 6thousand 323 house sales and 6.2% share. The provinces with the lowest number of house sales were Hakkari with 30
houses, Ardahan with 42 houses and Bayburt with 69 houses, respectively.
Housing sales increased by 6.7% in the January-October period
Housing sales increased by 6.7% in the January-October period compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 1million 159 thousand 853.
Mortgage housing sales amounted to 13 thousand 268
Mortgaged house sales across Turkey decreased by 52.7% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 13,268.
The share of mortgaged sales in total house sales was 12.9%. Mortgaged house sales in the January-October period, on the other hand, increased by 15.2%
compared to the same period of the previous year and became 241 thousand 869.
4,260 of the mortgage sales in October; 65 thousand 37 of the mortgaged sales in the January-October period were first hand sales.
As aresult of other sales types, 89 thousand 392 houses changed hands.
Other house sales in Turkey decreased by 18.3% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 89 thousand 392. The share of
other sales in total house sales was 87.1%. Other house sales realized in the January-October period, on the other hand, increased by 4.7% compared to the
same period of the previous year and became 917 thousand 984.
The number of first-hand housing sales was 32 thousand 692.
The number of first-hand house sales in Turkey decreased by 22.0% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 32 thousand
692. The share of first hand house sales in total house sales was 31.8%. In the January-October period, first-hand house sales increased by 4.8% compared
to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 344 thousand 810.
69,968 houses changed hands in second-hand house sales
Second hand house sales in Turkey decreased by 26.7% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 69 thousand 968.
The share of second hand house sales in total house sales was 68.2%. Second-hand house sales in the January-October period increased by 7.6% compared
to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 815 thousand 43.

5 thousand 377 houses were sold to foreigners in October Housing sales to
foreigners decreased by 8.8% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and became 5 thousand 377. In October, the
share of house sales to foreigners in total house sales was 5.2%. Antalya took the first place in house sales to foreigners with the sale of 2
thousand 123 houses. Antalya was followed by Istanbul with 1,658 sales and Mersin with 490 sales, respectively.

In the January-October period, house sales to foreigners increased by 26.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 55 thousand 21.
According to the nationality of the country by TUIK Property Sales Statistics, the most house sales were made to the citizens of the Russian Federation. In October, the citizens of the Russian Federation bought 2 thousand 23 houses from Turkey. Citizens of the Russian Federation were followed by Iran with 498 residences, Iraq with 310 residences and Ukraine with 216 residences.
